Bartender

Nori is a new all-plant-based vegan Japanese restaurant opening in Austin this summer. We are looking for hardworking and motivated individuals that are excited to be part of the new project. The bartender will have an opportunity to create a new bar menu for our future guests.  She or he will oversee all main bar responsibilities, bar menu developing, prepping before opening, taking orders and communicating with guests during service and closing after shift.  Nori is looking for a strong team player that is good at multitasking, enjoys communicating with guests and has strong multi-tasking skills.

Qualifications

• 3 year of professional bar experience required
• Bartender certification preferred
• Craft cocktail experience
• Must be able to cope with the demands of a fast and sometimes demanding work atmospheres
• Extensive problem-solving skills, detailed oriented and high standards in hygiene
• Ability to walk, sit and stand for long periods of time
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing procedures for the bar  
• Providing full dining experience to guests at the bar
• Cleaning and organizing the workspace
• Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists
• Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards
• Always expected to maintain standards of food safety and sanitation
• Clean, organize and sanitize stations at the end of the shift
